Assalam aly kum, I came across this unique and beautiful name while searching for unique sahaba names , and was pleased to see in another website that it means worshiper of Allah and one more website showed the meaning as ‘ unique” then how can it mean a child who walks on the back of his legs due to congenital defect !! Also it’s the name of a sahaba Ahnaf bin Qais who was quite an enlightened man !!?? Kindly explain as I am looking a name for my upcoming child ..
My sons name is Ahnaf. While i sélect this name , i did Google on early 2018 , the meaning came, religions, who always in straight path. Now Suddenly I saw its meaning coming club-footed. Naujubillah. My child is going to crèche, his every officiel, décret everything’s have on his name. Plus .. its so stress full now. Please explain.
The same thing happened with me as well. I have named my son Ahnaf as I saw the meaning was worshiper of Allah, righteous. And now in many websites I see the meaning is club footed. Would really appreciate an explanation.
