The ʿUthmānī Quranic rasm/script often omits hamzahs (as in لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمۡ instead of لِأَمَانَاتِهِمۡ). If you search for a common word like صالح and get no results in the ʿUthmānī version, search for صلح instead.

This search engine is designed for searching through the Quran's text using a normalized string match method, which may also be called a rasm search. The results include the string/letter arrangement that you search for, whether they exist independently in the Quran or are part of a larger word. The search is normalized, meaning ḥarakāt are ignored and variations of some characters (such as hamza) are treated the same. This allows as wide a search within the Quran as possible. Searching for رحم will by design return الرحمن.
