It is derived from the R-Q-A root which is used in a number of places in the Quran and is the root for Ruqayya (name of Prophet Muhammad’s daughter who was also wife of Uthman ibn Affan, peace and blessings of Allah upon the Prophet and his family and companions)
And they say, “We will not believe you until you break open for us from the ground a spring.
